SIMULIA, part of Dassault Systèmes, is looking for an intern with the role of CFD Application Engineer to join our Transport and Mobility team.The team is responsible of pre-sales and customer contacts for all our simulation portfolio. You will be part of a young and dynamic team focusing on fluids activities.
What will your role be?
The internship is going to cover one or more applications on the areas of aerodynamics, thermodynamics, aeroacoustics, water management etc. You will become proficient in the usage of at least one of SIMULIA software for Fluids (PowerFLOW or integrated RANS code) and you will have the chance to understand the physics behind the software.
After an initial training-on-the-job to learn the tools, in your daily work you will cover the complete process from the geometry model build-up to the simulation execution, results analysis and technical reports preparation. Your creativity and critical sense will be required to propose solutions to engineering challenges on the product, or improvements to the simulation process or accuracy.
The internship can thus include:
• Validation and deployment of new methodologies;
• Optimization and automation of existing simulation processes;
• Projects execution for customers;
• The exact assignments will be determined at the beginning of the internship.
Your Key Success Factors:
• Actively enrolled in a Master’s Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, CFD, Physics or equivalent
• Solid knowledge of Fluid Dynamics and Thermodynamics
• Strong interests in cars, as well as Aerodynamics and/or Aeroacoustics
• Experience with commercial CFD pre- & post-processing software (PowerFLOW would be a plus)
• Practical knowledge of CFD applications is preferable
• Experience with common CAD (CATIA, SolidWorks) or Geometry Prep Tools
• Strong communication skills in both written and spoken English
